      The Lightkeeper Woven Blanket

      $115.00

There's a moment, right after the candles are lit, when the room feels different. Not just brighter.

Closer. Everyone's talking at once—about work, about plans, about nothing important.

But underneath, there's something else. The quiet knowledge that you belong here.

That your great-grandmother would recognize this warmth, this sense of home, in any room, city, or even century. Heritage travels light.

It fits in a suitcase, settles into new spaces, speaks the language of belonging wherever you are. This is what you carry with you.

Not just the rituals, but the way they make you feel held.

A personalized Hanukkah menorah blanket with your family name, for the family that lights the candles together every year.

      The Details

Jacquard-woven with 100% cotton—no printing or inks involved.

Each blanket is woven to order, just for you, so nothing is made that won't be loved.

Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Soft fringe on all sides—two sides are black and white, two sides are multicolored.

Colors may look slightly different on your screen, but they'll be just as beautiful in person. (Some customers tell us they're often even better than they expected.)

Designed by Daniela in Pittsburgh; woven and shipped from North Carolina, USA.

Need to cancel? A personalized order can be canceled any time before you approve your proof. Once you approve, it goes to the loom within about two hours and can't be changed after that. For a non-personalized order, write to me as soon as you can at hello@bythenook.com.

      How personalization works

Nothing gets woven until you've seen a proof and told me it's right.

      • The four Steps

You order and tell me what you'd like — names, book titles, a quote, whatever the design allows.

I draw a proof and send it within 48 hours. You look it over and tell me if anything's off. We fix it until it's right.

Once you approve it, and not before, it goes to the loom.

      • What you can put on it

A name, a date, or a little love note. The titles of the books they've read three times. The year everything changed. An inside joke only the two of you get.

Whatever means something to them is the right answer. Every design has its own space for it, and the product page shows you what fits.

Any language too — Hebrew, Arabic, Mandarin, whatever you type is what I'll weave. You'll see it on the proof first.

When they wrap up in it, there should be no mistaking who it was made for.

      • If something's not right

If a name comes out wrong and it was my mistake, send me a photo and I'll replace it, no charge. If it slipped past on your end, reach out anyway — I've been there, and I'll set you up with a discount on a new one.

If you don't reply to your proof, I'll follow up once. After 48 hours with no answer I send it as-is so your order isn't stuck — so it's worth opening that email.

You can cancel a personalized order any time before you approve the proof. After that it's on the loom.

      • Ask before you order

        hello@bythenook.com — that's me.

If you're unsure whether a name will fit, or which design suits the person you're buying for, ask first. I'd rather answer a question than replace a blanket.

Tell me who they are and I'll tell you what I'd pick. That's my favourite kind of message.
